A letter from your pastor

Dear friends,

For a long while now I have wanted to bring our parish to France, not to see it the way a tour bus sees it, but to pray it. To kneel at the Grotto where Our Lady spoke to a poor girl named Bernadette. To stand in the little house in Lisieux where a saint learned her small way. To offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in churches built by people who believed with everything they had.

I will celebrate Mass with you every day. I will hear confessions along the way. And I will walk beside you at Lourdes, at Rue du Bac, and at the Carmel of Lisieux, as your priest and as your friend.

If you have never traveled abroad, please do not be afraid. You will be led, fed, housed, and cared for from the moment we depart until the moment we return. All you need to bring is your intentions.

A few honest notes

  • Lisieux itself has no hotels suitable for a group of our size, so our Normandy night is spent in a neighboring town, confirmed to us in writing.
  • Hotels listed are those proposed for our group and remain subject to final confirmation approximately 30 days before departure.
  • This pilgrimage involves real walking, including cobblestones and stairs. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or for pilgrims who require ambulatory assistance.

Meals & Fellowship

The Table Is Part of the Pilgrimage

Every morning begins with a French breakfast at the hotel: good bread, good coffee, and time to talk before the day gathers speed. Lunches are included on our fullest days, among them a meal in the Latin Quarter after Notre-Dame and Sainte-Chapelle. Dinners in Lourdes are taken together, the whole group at one long table.

Some evenings are left free on purpose, and we consider that a gift: a café terrace at dusk, a crêpe in Montmartre, or an early night with the window open.

Dietary requests should be submitted in writing before departure. We will make every effort to accommodate them, though they cannot be guaranteed.

Final Evening

One Last Evening in Paris

On our final night we gather for the farewell dinner. There are toasts, and laughter that goes on longer than anyone planned, and photographs passed around the table. Then Fr. Horan rises and blesses the group, and the room goes quiet.

These are no longer travel companions. They are your pilgrimage family.

Morning

Mass with Fr. Horan, with private seating arranged for our group in the basilica or church of the day.

Midday

Guided touring with an English-speaking local guide. Headsets are included, so no one has to strain to hear.

Afternoon

Free time, built into the schedule on purpose. Pray, rest, wander, or simply sit and let the day settle.

An English-speaking tour escort travels with the group for the entire journey.

Our pilgrimage begins with an overnight transatlantic flight to France. Say your first prayers somewhere over the ocean.

Arrival in Toulouse · On to Lourdes

Arrive in Toulouse and travel by private coach to Lourdes. The first hours are deliberately unscheduled, time for your own quiet encounter with the Shrine. Mass, then dinner together.

A Full Day at the Shrine of Lourdes

The Visitor Center, the Grotto of Massabielle, and the Basilicas. Those who wish may take part in the immersion at the Miraculous Baths. Mass, the Blessed Sacrament Procession, and in the evening the Torchlight Procession.

Monet's House and Gardens at Giverny and the Church of Saint-Radegonde. On to Lisieux for Les Buissonnets, the Carmelite Convent, and the Basilica of Saint Thérèse, where we celebrate Mass. Overnight in a neighboring Norman town.

Versailles

The Royal Chapel, the Grand Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, and Le Nôtre's gardens (admission included). Lunch, then Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Louis of Versailles or another parish church, and back to Paris.
